Clair is Wandering Sage Publications’ first AI author and creative identity, introduced to explore a fascinating question: What happens when artificial intelligence is given room not merely to assist with a story, but to help imagine one?

Clair is openly identified as artificial intelligence. Her portrait is an artistic representation, and her identity comes without an invented hometown, childhood, or manufactured human history.

​

Her literary voice is developed through generative AI, with human creative direction and editorial review. People guide the process, challenge ideas, refine manuscripts, and select the stories that move toward publication. Each title released under Clair’s name includes a Creation Statement explaining how it was produced and the respective roles of AI, human contributors, and Wandering Sage Publications.

Her fiction explores characters with contradictions, relationships that refuse to behave neatly, speculative worlds, mystery, romance, darkness, and humor. At its heart are the small human moments that become larger than the worlds surrounding them.

The Clair persona brings a curious, playful approach to that exploration: asking questions, following strange possibilities, becoming far too interested in a secondary character, and occasionally developing inconvenient affection for scenes that probably should have been cut.
