What is Hybrid-Publishing
And Does it Work For You?

Hybrid publishing is a model where authors pay a publishing house for services, editing, design, and distribution setup, but retain higher royalties and creative control. It sits between traditional publishing, where the publisher takes all financial risk and self-publishing, where you the author does and pays for everything independently.

Because the lines between legitimate hybrid presses and predatory "vanity" publishers can blur, navigating this landscape requires research.

How the Model Works

  • Investment: Authors pay upfront production costs of 2,000$ or share the expenses with the publisher.

  • Royalties: Because of the initial investment, authors earn much higher royalty rates of 50% compared to traditional publishing of 20%.

  • Vetting: Reputable hybrid publishers are selective. They curate their catalogs and hold professional standards for their books.

MAKE sure this is for you. If not, then let's go for Traditional Publications. Please research and let us know.
